Jewellery Care Instructions

Each of the Made in Harmony jewellery pieces are uniquely and lovingly handmade using quality materials. However as these creations are 'costume jewellery' they need to be treated with care to ensure and maintain the condition of the pieces. Here are some tips:  

• Be careful to avoid spraying perfume, deodorant, hairspray, make-up and other chemicals on the jewellery pieces, as this may discolour, tarnish or dull the surfaces, finishes and plating of the materials used.

• Please take care when putting on and taking off any jewellery pieces as they are delicate in construction.  (tip: when putting on or taking off jewellery pieces, stand over carpet rather than tiled/hard floor to avoid breakage or chipping when dropped. Also take care when wearing the jewellery pieces to ensure that they are not knocked or scratched.

• To keep the jewellery pieces clean, use a dry clean cloth and cotton buds to rub and remove any surface dirt, bodily oils or perspiration. Silver polishing clothes are great for polishing up the metallic parts.

• When storing the jewellery pieces, keep them in a dry and preferably air-tight place (e.g. In zip seal bags, organza or jewellery bags or boxes) to avoid oxidisation and tarnishing. Keep away from sunlight as UV can discolour or damage components in the piece.
